- My cardiothoracic surgery practice goals were fulfilled. A medical license with many years of patient care experiences and current retraining through UCSD allows me to specialize exclusively in men’s health. The reinvention of my career will now focus on the prevention of problems that required my services.
- Men’s lives are shortened (mortality) by cardiovascular disease and cancer. If we prevent and aggressively treat hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, and increased body mass, then this is a data-driven, scientific way to live longer. These preventive measures, along with a healthy diet, exercise, and some simple cancer screenings are the best way also to prevent cancer and Alzheimer’s dementia.
- Our mission is proven medical science with community standards. PML medical practice standards are based on credible scientific evidence, published in peer-reviewed medical literature, generally recognized by the relevant medical community.
- PML stands by FDA guidelines.

- When alternative medicine has data-driven outcomes to improve health conditions (i.e. chiropractic medicine or acupuncture for treatment of lower back pain), then we will present it as a viable treatment option.
- Men have shortened lives because of the above problems, and men aged 30-80 have the most to gain from treatment.
- PML does not specialize in pediatrics, adolescent health, geriatrics, or women’s health at this time.
- PML will perform wellness visits for all ages and genders, including evaluation of lipid profiles, blood pressure, blood glucose, HgA1C, and body mass, for the non-subscriber visit fee listed in the fee schedule.
- Men less than 50 years have fewer health problems but have much to gain by early detection and treatment of hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, hyperglycemia and increased body mass.
- Wellness/fitness-testing is great for younger men seeking to improve their athletic performance. Train for a triathlon or marathon, ride a bike or run or swim faster and longer, climb a mountain or do an uber hike, play tennis or golf at a higher level. All these things are achievable.
